New addition to the Perry family in Colorado!

Well, we thought it was finally time to expand our selves our here in Colorado. And I am guessing that some of you are thinking this is not what we were expecting! Anyway, Luna joined us a couple of weeks ago and is 11weeks old now. She is doing really well and a very happy puppy. Already taken super well to her crate and the front yard.

Luna came from Ric at Spartan's Kennels in Denver. Ric has several Siberians and shows them all over. He does extremely well and takes amazing care of his dogs. This was his first litter of puppies but we were just blown away at the care they were given. Our friend Margaret connected us up through several other friends. We could not have asked or found a better person to get our next Siberian from.

Today Luna gets her second set of shots so we can finally start walking her in the neighborhood! So, hopefully this at least qualifies as a "grandpuppy" for now. Its all we can do folks! ;)

Zoya--Luna's Mother

The litter at 8 weeks old--4 females and 2 males all tuckered out after hours of play time in the backyard.

Luna, known as mimi, is in the middle of the group.

Our first look at Luna!

Two weeks later we picked her up. Actually I surprised Amy on our way back from a great weekend at Steamboat. She was really wanting Luna but I had told her that another couple had gotten the puppy. I arranged for Ric from Spartan Kennels to meet us at a Chipolte while we were eating. Ric showed up with her in a little gift bag and red bow around her neck on Sunday night. Amy was completely shocked and had no idea it was going to work out!

Here is Luna in our front yard for the first time at 8 weeks old--she spent several days looking for mom and her litter mates.

Streeeeetch!

She loves boxes.....cheap play toys for sure!
A quick power nap by the water bowl--she is 9 weeks here.
First snow ever--she was so thrilled and spent hours running around the yard playing--this was best--a blur the whole time pretty much. Brown noser?

Luna's first experience with the grass sprinkler system--she loves water! Which was great--Col never did so it was hard to bathe him and such. Luna jumped right in--she had her head right at the pop up sprinkler head trying to drink out of it and would run back and forth through the spray. I will try to get a few pics of her doing that soon after this next big snow comes (8 inches maybe!).

Ah, more power naps and of course, they love sleeping on their backs!

Sure, I know, what you are thinking, another husky? It is hard to understand unless you have owned one. I will say this--we are already working on leash training and off leash...hopefully she will be a bit better than Mr. Col! We are really excited to get her our Nordic skiing with us. This winter was a bit lonely without Col to keep us company and enjoy the snow together.

Thanks Jill and Joel! I was putting all my effort and concentration to my legs Sunday...had to keep the rubber side down and pedals turning. The Bike blog is coming back online finally.
