Roof sheeting almost complete and prepping for more Snow!

Today the framers almost finished the roof sheeting and boxes.  There is more snow coming tonight so we cleaned up the work site since they are calling for 6 to 10 inches!

Looking up at the Master bath windows, roof to the laundry area and garage
Back of House--you can really see the roof lines now!
Front of the house--they started on the stair well roof today also.

Heli poised at the front door--front roof lines coming together
Mud room windows and garage windows all cut out now.
Looking out the master bedroom with the roof on now
The walk through walls...the 2nd bedroom on the other side now with roof
 Towards stairwell and front entry
The roof lines made this complex to frame out

Stair well roof structure--this goes so fast if you blink to much!
Out towards the front yard again--front door below
Stair well--there will be two windows in the wall that has not been built yet looking out to the front yard.  Lots of snow heading out way tonight--wills low the process down again a bit.  Maybe basement and garage slabs next week if the weather gets better.  May have to shovel and snow blow tomorrow morning!

More roof sheeting, truss work and windows delivered!

Framers worked more on trusses and roof sheeting today with the 2nd floor.  Installing all the sofett boxes is the tough part with so many roof angles and the height of everything.  Tons of work for sure and I know those guys are tired.  They are rocking it out though and doing a stellar job of the carpentry work.

Heli checking it out.  They built a simple jig here to slide up the roof sheeting to the guys up high.  They also cut out one of the garage windows.
Windows were delivered also today--look real good--the larger ones are for the dining and family room and the long one on the right goes in the Master bedroom above the bed headboard.

Madeline shows another nail she found as Amy climbs the ladder

Madeline waits patiently to climb up to the top floor

 Madeline still waiting...

Say hi!  Amy and Maddie in the family room back window

 More nail pickup!

View from the front yard.  The framers will continue this all week and we have another snow storm coming in Wednesday--crazy how much snow we have gotten but great for the moisture and summer.

Sunday Sunday Sunday--picking up nails!

We took Madeline up today along with the dogs to hang out for a bit--such a nice day out.  Also picked up nails and cleaned up the trash around the site to keep the woods clean and neighbors happy.

Everyone grabbed a box or can and started filling with all the loose nails
Madeline used her new Dora gardening gloves
She made sure to let us know every time she found a nail!
Careful supervision since there are some "open" walls!  But, where do you get to walk through walls all the time!
Madeline made it up to the second floor and was a natural at climbing the ladder!  She really enjoyed it.

Truss alignment and roof sheeting on the garage.

Today they started to fix all the trusses in place/square them up and put the OSB sheeting over the garage roof after they built the eaves/boxes. Above before we headed out for a hike, you can see how much snow is on the divide!  Folks place there to the right.

Amy heading up to see the current status of the garage.  A window will be added to the front above the garage doors for light in the bonus space.
 Garage sheeting almost done.
 Bonus trusses--great space up there
View from the top down in the Garage
Laundry room and trusses now installed.  Window to the right has to be cut out still.
Front of the house--stairwell there in the middle.  Mud room windows are now cut out at the far left
Amy upstairs checking out the front bed room.  The garage will have another window up top in the bonus space above the front porch trusses.
Master bedroom and back bedroom #2 trusses
Master view--we went with a raised ceiling in all bedrooms.  You can actually see Longs, Meeker, and Saint Vrain Mountain to the left of those fir trees--hard to make out in the photo though with the white balance.
Sugarloaf mountain peeking out in the distance.
Divide and some of Niwot Ridge
 Back Bedroom windows and trusses.
Front Bedroom trusses and there will be two windows in this wall still to be put up--you can see the front yard below. This side of the house has some views of Golden Gate park and James Peak area.
 Front Entry from above.
Amy out by the basement area and stairwell.
Back of the house--the Dining area is in the center and a large window will be cut out along with a door to access the back yard on the right side.  Master bedroom is upstairs there and master bath are to the right.
Along side of kitchen and access to the garage.

Some late evening light on the framing.

So, next comes the upstairs roofing, stairs, and well drilling.  Really coming together.  I will probably be wiring all the low voltage in 3 weeks or so after the plumbers get in there and run the pipes.  More snow this Wednesday and maybe that will be all for the season at this elevation.  Really moving right along though!  Hope everyone is getting there moving muscles ready--we will need all hands on deck later this summer! ;)
