Hardwood delivery, landscaping and counter top installs

A few updates with floors, counters, and landscaping.

Added a few loads of dirt to front yard and the driveway to start smoothing things out a bit.

Painting is in full effect and its busy around the house.
New counters in kitchen installed along with farm style sink

Maddie showing the hardwood boxes--they will sit in the house for a week to acclimatize
We popped a box open to see how it looked--this is Acacia wood--should look really nice!
I spent a few hours cutting some more trees up to move to the wood pile.  Seems never ending but we will have firewood for a good bit!
 Tools of the saw trade!
Also made a template for the bench in the mud room to fit the wall
There is a slight curve to the back wall.

Template all done--now take to Bruce's shop to square up the douglas fir and make the bench.

We also picked up a bunch of native Colorado grass seed and wild flowers--hopefully this all comes up next year and starts to fill in the yard nicely.

Sunset evening--smoke from Idaho

We are having nice sunsets right now...but unfortunately it is because of the big fire in Idaho right now--wish those folks well.  I know one of the owners of the ski area had to be evacuated-we wish him the best.

Interior Painting, electrical hookup, water working and the Generator is delivered!

Painting commenced on the interior doors--lots of caulking to do and taping of course too.

Hardware also showed up for all the doors.  Nice feel to it--Amy did a great job!

Maddie racing us to the house each night.
Lots more wood too--spent a good part of the weekend cutting and Amy used the ATV to move it around to the front so we can split it all and restack.
 Generator showed up..UPS freight.
Temp wire hook up to run the water pump down stairs.
Does it need to be that big?  :)
Backup starter battery and the automatic transfer switch--plenty more wiring to do.  ATS has 16 circuits so plenty of circuits will be covered in the house.
Two coats of paint on most of the doors now.

The machine that makes it all happen and keeps your back in tact!

Meter is installed out side--and temp power pole turned off.  Meter reads 1 KWH...never see that really!
Maddie showing me how she can use the stick to reach something to high for her.
No lights yet but the water pressure tank is the blue tank up behind the studded wall and has been all hooked up by the well company.  Testing water now for hardness, potability, etc...
The stairwell/entry.  Really coming out nice!
Staining the handrails in the family room--this was over the weekend--toxic so we stayed out of the house--that made the saw cutting much easier and dedicated!

Closet shelves and Paint is delivered

The closets were trimmed out today with shelves and bar supports.

We also had more dirt delivered--many more loads to go!
Mud room closet--we have bins that go on each shelf here
 Maddie exploring the new closets
Door casement is on now and baseboard up the stairs
Nice looking hand rails and hardware
Maddies closet--lots of shelves and two closet rods--one for her height!
My closet--two rods again and lots of shelves for my wool sweaters!
Amy's closet--plenty of shelves, shoe racks and several closet rods at different heights for pants, shirts, and dresses.
 Maddie approved
Master toilet room has storage shelves also.
Measuring for shower rod in Maddie's bath
Maddie runs around shutting all the doors.
 Hallway linen closet shelving
Basement stairs has base board now too.
Not much trim left in the house.  The extra double door was a mis order--may use it for mechanical room access though in basement.  Plenty of paint showed up today too there in the corner.
