Roofers showed up today to start getting the shingles installed.
Also cut down a few more trees, including the one on the back that was too close to the house--Thanks to Jeff for taking care of that for me!
Roof on top floor done--just the laundry and garage to wrap up.
Hard to see, but roof vents and I had 3 safety rings mounted for getting up there safely. Two on the main roof and one on the garage. Great for gutter cleaning!
We dragged a lot of brush today too and my father was up helping out with the chain saw work.
There is a community chipping day this next Thursday so nice to get as much mitigation work done that we could as the chipping was free! The neighborhood applied for a grant from the county. Marc M. who is the HOA pres, did the whole thing and the saws and slaws event a few days back was part of the deal.
Fireplace chimney tubes in the box.
Plenty more slash to move. This will be an ongoing project till next summer to bring the forest back to a healthy state and also keep the fire danger down.
