Today the roofers came and got the poly material up to "Dry In" which is to keep the house dry while the other work continues--seals up all the cracks in the OSB and such. Probably not have to do much more water sweeping now with the windows in and this material on the roof. The stapler they used was neat--had a coil of plastic orange discs and feeds one disc for every staple. Keeps the material from tearing in high winds.
Ladders propped in a neat location...
They moved fast as I stopped by at Lunch and it was almost finished already.
The house siding showed up also--you can see a stack in front of the garage. 4 pallets all together got delivered. Lots of angles, so siding this place will take a bit of time. We are adding flashing to the bottom OSB and foundation wall junction to cover the wood up if a fire/embers come nearby.
The next batch of photos I used the Go Pro so lots of fish eye effect...
Maddie looking out the family room window to grandma
Amy, Maddie, and Dad exploring the back yard
Family room and front entrance almost wrapped up inside.
Still no stairs...but the ladder works great and Maddie has gone up/down a few times.
Master now has second closet framed in and back bedroom closet along with hall closet are framed in too.
The big deep stairwell...like a mine shaft in colorado--maybe we should install a motor/rope and bucket!
Back Bedroom closet wall
Maddie and Grandma sitting out front of the garage.
Master Bath windows and the rocks in the back
Front bedroom and front yard with new porch roof
Better view of the master bedroom now--bathroom to the right and entrance to the hall in the middle. Closet next to the room door.
Seeing all those siding stacks really gets you excited--step by step...I will be starting wiring in two weeks so need to make sure I have all the materials ordered.
